Reset, Recovery and Reward
In recent weeks, we have seen a resurgence of COVID-19 infection rates across Europe – in the UK, France, Spain, and Italy - and elsewhere in the world. The prospects for a return to “near normality” in travel and tourism and in medical travel, specifically, have been further delayed. Many staff in international patient departments remain furloughed or laid off; agencies and facilitators are seeing minimal patient throughput.
In the light of the above, we have taken the difficult, but, we believe the right decision to postpone the IMTJ Medical Travel Summit until 2021 when we aim to deliver a virtual conference early in the year and a face to face conference in Autumn 2021 in Madrid. Of course, these plans may be adjusted, depending on the spread of COVID-19.
Nevertheless, we do want to help business in preparing for the recovery of medical travel and to celebrate those outstanding destinations and healthcare providers who have demonstrated their excellence in the IMTJ Medical Travel Awards 2020, so we will be running the IMTJ Medical Travel Forum and IMTJ Medical Travel Awards 2020 on September 23rd.
If you would like to attend the Forum and Awards, you can purchase a ticket which will also include access to the postponed virtual IMTJ Medical Travel Summit taking place in Spring 2021
