Graham Elderfield is an expert in international private healthcare, having held multiple top positions at medical providers worldwide both privately and with the NHS. He has a proven track record of leadership and achievement as a Chief Executive for twenty two years, introducing new approaches and systems across complex organisations.
Graham was appointed Chief Executive of three NHS Trusts, a Primary Care Trust and a hospice between 1990 and 2010.
In 2011 Mr Elderfield became General Manager at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital, based in Germany, where he successfully negotiated and delivered a contract with the Ministry of Defence to provide healthcare to over 50,000 troops and their families.
In 2013 he became Executive Director at Hamad Medical Corporation based in Qatar. Here he was in charge of organising treatment abroad programmes for Qatari nationals, and was responsible for the operational management of the Heart Hospital, a tertiary centre for cardiac care.
Mr Elderfield has excelled in both the private and public healthcare sectors, and has a vast experience in managing and transforming organisations. He has lead numerous quality initiatives worldwide, including, most notably, achieving a JCI accreditation for the Heart Hospital in Qatar. His leadership and decision making abilities have made his presence felt in a positive manner within the healthcare sector, giving him plenty of experience to call upon.
