Philipp Graf von Hardenberg
President and CEO of Thanyapura Health and Sports Resort, Thailand
Graf von Hardenberg started his career in European deluxe hotels like the Hotel Vier-Jahreszeiten in Hamburg, the Savoy Hotel in London and the Beau-Rivage in Lausanne. He went to Cornell University in New York State for the Executive Hospitality Education and later joined the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where he worked as the General Manager of the Ritz-Carlton Hotels in New York, Houston and Sydney and as Senior Vice President Development and Operations for Europe and the Middle East.
He was the COO of the Deutsche Entertainment AG, a German entertainment company where he was responsible for strategy and the execution of the IPO and investor relations.
In 2005 he founded the Yaowawit School, a public private welfare orphanage and home-stay school in the south of Thailand. Here he invented the pre-vocational education concept with the first project being the “Pre-Vocational Hospitality Academy “in Cooperation with the Marriott Hotel Company and the Thai Ministry of Education. He is the founder of the “Children’s World Academy Foundations” in Germany and Thailand. He is an ambassador of the German Stifterverband der Deutschen Wissenschaft, an association with over 700 foundations which are active in science and education. He was the Chairman of the Executive Boards of the Berlin/Brandenburg International School and the Stiftung Loiusenlund Boarding School.
Today Hardenberg is the President and CEO of the Thanyapura Health and Sports Resort on the island of Phuket, and in the same capacity responsible for FairMedOnline Plc. (Caremondo) in Singapore.
